Dr. Jim George
Senior Pastor

Jim began his ministry at Fairview in 2015. He is a graduate of Mars Hill College, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and received his Doctorate of Ministry from The Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond.

Jim’s 35 years of ministry experience includes serving as the Disaster Relief Coordinator for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board and in several churches as pastor in Virginia.

Jim loves studying the Bible and being with people. He also tries to make time for a round of golf.

Rev. Alan Stanton
Associate Pastor of Discipleship, Ministries, and Information Technology

Alan is a Virginia native, and received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Virginia. After working in the IT field for several years in Northern Virginia, Alan sensed God calling him into ministry. He attended Denver Seminary in Littleton Colorado to purse his MDiv degree with a focus on youth and family ministry before accepting a call to his current position at Fairview as their Children’s and Youth Pastor.

Alan still enjoys dabbling with IT projects in his spare time, and seeks to help children, youth, and their families to grow in their relationships with Jesus and with each other.

Rev. Mark Andrist
Director of Music and Worship

Fairview Baptist called Rev. Mark Andrist as our Part-Time Music Director on February 28, 2021.

Sheila Kennedy

Church Administrator

Sheila lived in New Jersey until 1976, once married, she moved to Fredericksburg in 1979 with her husband. She later moved to Fairfax with her three daughters and worked in Washington DC until 2011. Sheila moved back to Fredericksburg so her mother could live with her. She loves the Fredericksburg area and is happy to have all of her family living in the area. She feels very blessed to live in this wonderful city with all of her family and to work with such amazing people.

She is thankful for her position at Fairview Baptist Church and the opportunity to serve the Lord.
